A minor one
Webmasters are noticing some changes, but not too many of them. Also, the tools are noticing changes. This points to a minor, yet noticeable update.
A week long update
This update has been wreaking havoc on some websites from November 1st to November 7th. Many webmasters from various niches have picked up on this update from the start, unlike the tools which have started meh, and picked up the momentum as the week went on. It seems like a pretty big, rolling update, but there are no comments from Google.
And even more
There is yet another one – this time, some tools have noticed relatively minor blips, some aren’t showing anything, and some are reporting huge fluctuations. Webmasters are vocal as well.
Even more fluctuations
The webmaster chatter doesn’t seem to die down for ages now. The tools and the webmasters both picked up more fluctuations on October 8th and 9th.
Yet more fluctuations
The fluctuations don’t seem to die down at all during previous weeks. Many tools are noticing fluctuations, and plenty enough webmasters have been vocal enough that it seems there’s been another noticeable update again.
Smaller update confirmed by Google
The tools haven’t noticed huge fluctuations, nor did this one have such a huge reach as the previous ones. However, if it impacted someone, it had a huge impact. We can’t say for sure, but it’s possible that this update is a further tweak and refining of medic update.
Images algorithm update
Image search algorithm now prioritizes images from pages with higher authority. Also, position of image is now a very important factor in image ranking.
More fluctuations spotted
Some tools have noticed big shifts, while others haven’t. It doesn’t seem as a huge one, but still, enough webmasters are noticing changes beyond normal.
Possible new update
There has been some chatter last week, which died down quickly. Now there is more chatter again and more so this time around. SERPs are fluctuating, and the tools are picking it up as well.
Automated tools are noticing more shifts than webmasters, but there has been some limited chatter on a new update.
